A problem many face in Dynamic besides urge to breathe is leg burn. Today I will recommend a training method to fix this.

Many people when doing Dynamic might feel leg burn, fatigue, or heat in legs. Sometimes having enough air to dive further but must come up because legs are tired, sore, or hot to the point of torture and can’t go on.

What causes Leg Burn and Muscle Fatigue?

Must say first, leg burn or muscle fatigue primarily doesn’t come from Lactate or Lactic Acid. This is a long-time misunderstanding. Fatigue is partly from increased acidity in muscles including accumulation of other metabolic waste in muscles, which I am studying further. If I get more info I will share.

Solving Leg Burn with Leg Burner Workout

I used to have leg burn problems. There was a time when diving I felt hot legs, sore to torture, didn’t want to dive further. So I tried Leg Burner workout. Turned out I solved the leg burn problem within 2 weeks. For me, very lucky to solve it fast, but others might take longer. Recommend training continuously, leg burn symptoms will improve.

Preparation and Equipment

  1. Fins (Short Fins recommended)
  2. Socks or Silicone Grease
  3. Swimming pool (Recommend 50m or 25m if 50m not available)

Doing Leg Burner Workout

Doing Leg Burner is not hard. Start by putting on Fins. Recommend short Fins. Try wearing socks or use Silicone Grease on feet to prevent Fins biting feet.

Steps

  1. Swim on surface on back, kicking Fins as fast as possible. Stop only at 50m. Can breathe all the time. If tired, can kick slower but DO NOT STOP!
  2. Rest for 2 - 3 minutes.
  3. Sprint continuously for 4 - 8 rounds!

*Warning: careful of running out of leg strength when getting out of pool 😂

Why Leg Burner Workout helps with Leg Burn

Because it is training that raises Lactate levels in muscles very high, causing the body to create more Mitochondria, increasing Lactate usage in muscles. Resulting in less leg fatigue and burn!
